Lurraine Villacorta is an expert in environmental and resource management issues with over 25 years of experience with multiple international agencies. 

Lurraine joined the International Labour Organization, a specialized agency of the United Nations, in 1994 working to integrate environmental and development concerns in the Asia-Pacific region. Since then, she has held several advisory and managerial positions within the ILO, other United Nations agencies and the Canadian International Development Agency.  

As a United Nations Technical Specialist and later as Advisor to the Global Green Jobs Programme, Lurraine was assigned to promote the transition to green economies in over a dozen countries including China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam. Her work was instrumental in facilitating the development of new policy initiatives and capacity-building support programs for businesses throughout the Asia-Pacific.

Lurraine has taken doctoral-level studies, holds a Master of Science in Agriculture and Food Engineering, and is a Certified International Trade Professional.
